Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I will be taking part in my first ever Marathon; well actually it's my first ever race altogether! (Wish me luck!) Since being in the crowds last year; the atmosphere of it all and watching the runners (specially my dad) motivated me into putting my name down myself. Having been accepted I have been training hard, and putting in 100% to get to that 26mile goal!!
Any sponsor money will be very much appreciated and hope you can dig deep as this is a very deserving cause...
Thank you all so much! x
* 28th March- 4weeks today and it will all be over! I have had my fair share of struggles during training, if its not been stitch its been my feet, and 5weeks before the big day I hurt my foot AGAIN! but I am not giving up... still determined and no matter what I will be crossing that finish line on the 25th April. So please, please could you give me anything, all sponsors are very much appriciated :) thank you *
**7th April- Not long now, the big day is getting ever more closer...and I cannot wait!! So excited, training is finally coming together and I can see that it is all paying off. 2weeks off work at the moment and everyday I am trying to get my miles up! The other day I did 11miles, today I am aiming for 13miles (half marathon!)**
About the charity
The Institute of Orthopaedics, the research and teaching unit of the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital at Oswestry, Shropshire has a national and international reputation and is very much regarded as a Centre of Excellence. The 2010 Virgin London Marathon will have 37 runners supporting the Institute and funds will be raised for medical research at the hospital which will be utilised to fund innovative research projects. Raising funds in the present economic climate is exceptionally difficult and all monies received will be much appreciated
