We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Alzhiemers / Dementia has affected many people in my life, and I have seen first hand the devastating effects it has on individuals and their family members.

Alzheimer's is such a cruel disease that slowly takes away everything you love about a person, and eventually leaves just an empty shell.

It's concerning that the amount of people suffering with Alzhiemers is on the increase, therefore the chances are that we will all know someone affected.

Your donations go towards research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention. The money also goes towards raising awareness of the disease, and offering support to sufferers and their families.

For a while now, I've liked the thought of running a marathon due to the personal challenge involved. I've been running for several years, but at this point I've never run further than 14 miles (and that was a struggle), so a full marathon should be a real test, but one I'm looking forward to.

I'm hoping the thought of me suffering for 4 hours should be enough to encourage people to dig deep and donate generously and it's for a GREAT cause.

Any donations would be welcomed.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
