Dear All,
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to visit our Just Giving page, and hopefully sponsor us. You are obviously keen - or we have already pestered you so much you’ve now given in. Either way we are glad you are here!
For those of you who don’t know us, following our mother’s death in May this year my brother and I were pleased to make a collective donation to the “for dementia" charity. Whilst the donation was in our mother’s memory it is actually our father who suffers from vascular dementia and over the last year he has required an ever increasing level of ongoing care.
During this time we have received wonderful reassurance and support from both the Local Authority and various care organisations in and around Wolverhampton. This support has not only given us a better understanding of his condition, but has allowed our father to continue living in his own home.
In view of this we would like to try and give something back by raising as much money as possible for the “for dementia” charity when we compete in the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon on 13th September 2009 along with Sharon Greenwell and Stuart Evans.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
