Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I wanted to run the Manchester Run, and feel this is the perfect opportunity to do my bit for a man who is nothing short of inspirational.

Mark Maddox was captain of the football team I follow, Altrincham FC. With 300+ appearances, he is regarded as a legend of the club. He left in 2007, but in late 2010 he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, an illness that basically turns your muscles into jelly, and there no known cure for it.

Fortunately, just like Mark was on the pitch, he has battled against it. He has raised thousands for MNDA by running the London Marathon, jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft and other things that normal people wouldn't do!!

So for inspiring so many people I know at Altrincham, this is my thank you to Mark, and hope I can raise as much as possible for this great charity.
