In memory of my late Father who sadly passed away at the end of January after a long illness, I've put together an extremely eclectic and erudite team to undertake the Ramshackle Rally to Poland in August and raise money for the Intensive Care Unit at Leicester General Hospital where my Dad spent his final few days receiving superb care.

We leave the UK on 5th August and travel via France, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland until we arrive in Krakow (hopefully) on 9th August.

The difference is how we're doing this - in a 17 year old 1 litre Nissan Micra that cost just £136.15 off eBay. Yup - we're driving a knackered old car covered in dents, rust and held together with sticky tape half way across Europe without back up, engineering support, sat-nav or a phrase book! Fully independent multi-link rear suspension, automatic climate control, speed sensitive power steering and a boot mounted 6 disc CD player are just some of the things this car doesn't have.
