Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you might know a couple of months ago I decided to pack in the soul crushing daily grind of working for a zoo in favour of going off cycling. Plan A, to make it to the world cup next year was a little bit mental and i decided against it in the end, but after spending most of the year planning I still had the cycling bug, as well as by this time an actual bike, so I decided to try and cycle across Europe and into Asia.By starting in Venice I’ve managed to cut out a couple of drizzly weeks in northern Europe and have also got to meet up with Dan Harrison (http://www.betterlifecycle.com/) who actually is cycling all the way to South Africa & raising money for orphanages along the way. Dan's a great bloke, and he's doing it for a great cause so I thought I'd do this page to try and help him out with raising a few extra quid for his ride.
I'm not sure if im breaking any sponsorship rules by asking money halfway through the ride - and i probably should considering I've spent the last yr working as a professional fundraiser - but I do still have the toughest part of the ride to come. I’ve got 10 days left to cycle from here in Albania to in ; a trip of about 1000km including some massive mountains, a few minefields & loads of places with loads of wolves and bears. Ive also just lost my map so will have to rely on helpful signs like the one up on the left from now on.
I've set a target of 1600pounds, i don’t expect to get close to that, but it'd be absolutely great if i could push the total amount raised towards 25,000. As a total journey of around 1500 miles that's just over a pound every excruciating mile, which isn’t totally unreasonable! Any amount is extremely welcome, but sponsor me 10quid+ and ill send you a postcard. 50quid and ill get you a little present. any more than that and ill get you something absolutely mega. Of course 100% of your money will of course go to some very needy kids (http://www.betterlifecycle.com/theCause.aspx)
