UPDATE - Thank you to everybody who has donated, I'm absolutly staggered by your generosity.  The date for what I am calling "Hairpocalypse" has been set as Sunday 20th March.  The cut off date to be included in the draw is therefore 9am Friday 18th March.

Thank you again,

Andy

As many of you know, my girlfriend, Lindsay, was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  She has started chemotherapy, and so far the results are looking very good.  However, as the treatment continues she will lose all her hair.

Being the caring, loving boyfriend I am, I've decided that in a show of solidarity I'll get my head shaved.  Given how much grief I've suffered over the years (at all your hands) due to my ridiculous haircut, I've decided to give you all the opportunity to put your money where your mouth is.

Any money donated will get you two things:

1) A warm fuzzy feeling knowing you're helping a charity (www.lavendertrust.org.uk) that is doing amazing work in this field; and

2) Each pound you donate gets you an entry into a prize draw.  What's the prize, I hear you ask?  Well, you get to choose what happens to the other half of my head - my beard. Should it all go?  Should I have a dashing handlebar moustache?  I'm not going to make too many suggestions, in case I give you too many horrible ideas, but I promise to keep whatever hideousness is inflicted upon me for at least a week after my hair's gone.  If you're not a person I see regularly, I will of course furnish you with photos.

So, donate some money, tell your friends and study pictures on the internet of the worlds worst facial hair in case you win.  Lindsay and I both thank you for anything you can give, and I'm sure the Lavender Trust will echo that sentiment.
