Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you will know my Dad passed away very suddenly towards the end of last year. Those of you that knew him might have been aware that he spent the majority of his life actively involved in the fishing industry working amongst other things ensuring their safety and wellbeing while doing an extremely dangerous and demanding job in the North Sea. Once he left the industry he still worked tirelessly in arranging many fund raising events throughout the UK as well as being a member of the Fishermans mission. The Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen provides care, compassion and support to working, retired and disabled fishermen and their families. Deep-sea fishing is dangerous and unpredictable. Hardship and tragedy are facts of everyday life in the UK's fishing industry. Now he has passed on my sister Claire and I are running a triathlon in June this year to raise as much money as possible to help support this industry as much as possible.
Even if you didn’t know him or even only met him once I am asking for any kind of sponsorship you can give to help an industry that many people, I for one take for granted…..
