My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
From the outset I would like to emphasize that charity is a very personal matter and there is absolutely no expectation from my side on ANYONE to make a donation.
I decided that missing out on the ballot for the 2nd year in a row was not going to stop me from running the world's best marathon so I have entered the 2012 London Marathon through a charity - The Big Issue Foundation.
Why the Big Issue Foundation????? To be honest they were one of the only charities with spaces still available by the time I got off my backside and decided to race. Having said this, I honestly believe they do a FANTASTIC job in assisting people who are at an absolute low, mostly due to no fault of their own and who have made a conscious decision to turn their lives around and re-establish themselves within society. So, I am delighted to support this cause and help those less fortunate than me make this transition. For more on the work done by this charity, take a look at the info alongside.
