The Relentless24 will take place on the
world renowned Witch’s Trail and recently constructed World
Championships courses in the Forestry Commission Scotland’s Leanachan
Forest with the event hub being based at Nevis Range, Fort William from
12 noon on Saturday 10th of October 2009.
More than 400 riders from
across the UK and beyond will battle it out on world-class trails, from
Saturday lunchtime deep into the night, with the event concluding at 12
noon on Sunday 11th.
The Relentless24 will test physical fitness, stamina and mental toughness on a technical, but achievable route, which will take in sections of trail specially constructed for the 2007 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships by trail-building guru Mark Hedderwick.
Our ride will take place in memory of our friend Ben who sadly died last year. Ben was suffering with a Bipolar Dissorder and we spent our last days with him in Fort William, where better to celebrate his mountain bike loving life and also remember his terrible suffering than right here.
