Well it's only 3 days to go and not been able to do much this week from a training point of view. Minor calf strain, but I was given extra motivation on Wednesday when I was able to meet with some transplant donor coordinators. It was great to understand their challenges & show them what their efforts & even more importantly donor families can do for so many people.

Good day today, after a slow week last week. Did 9 km this morning in 54 mins so on target for sub 60 mins. 5 km in 30 mins. Only 11 days to go !!!!!

WoW, thats another target met thanks to a very generous donation from a person, who I know, that the cause has a significant meaning.
It does of course mean I have to raise the bar again :-)
Training is going very well & well on target for sub 60 mins

Just a quick update, training going well & doing 5k in just over 35mins so getting to the time for 10k in 60 mins. Great to see some of my sponsors are giving me the challenge & will double their donation if I beat the hour :-) I'LL DO MY BEST !!

Due to a fantastic response from my friends and colleagues I've had to increase the target :-). I'm sure you'll rise to the occasion! If I manage to complete the run under 1hr you could offer to double your sponsorship???

9th May. Now back at work and in the gym early!! Just signed up for the TSUK Games in Belfast, August 2011. Hope I survive :-)
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having just had my liver transplant in Dec 2010, I'm looking forward to completing this run, ably assisted by Sebastian to swell the coffers of the Listen Fund.
LISTEN is a patient-led support network established in March 2006 at Kings College Hospital, London. It aims to provide a source of information and peer support for patients and their families before and after receiving a liver transplant at King’s College Hospital (KCH).
One of the key offerings is the use of the LISTEN Lodges for the relatives of patients, who can travel from as far a field as Northern Ireland & Cornwall. These were in dire need of redecorating & some of my colleagues from GSK helped in Nov '10 to give them a lick of paint. These flats need a considerable amount to keep them running, so all funds will go to LISTEN to use on these & other key projects.
Cheers & thanks for your support
Andy
