As some of you may know, i am a keen cyclist and as a challenge to myself, and also to raise money for Finchale Training College, this year, I have decided to enter myself into the Durham Big Ride. This is a 25 mile (40k) ride which starts at Durham County Hall and takes in Sacriston, Annfield Plain, Leadgate, Lanchester, Langley Park and back to Durham centre.

I will be cycling for Finchale Training College, a Durham based charity which provides vocational training and rehabilitation to disabled adults to help them develop and achieve the skills, qualifications and confidence to find and enjoy permanent employment.

I do ride regularly but probably not as regularly as i should so training has been going slowly but is now starting to pick up and the legs are certainly feeling it now. You can help this aching feeling by sponsoring me on my way, and as i pedal, i can think of all the money i'm raising for Finchale College.
