My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
On the 1st August 2011 Noah and Ida were born by emergency c-section due to complications . The twins were born 9 weeks early. Ida weighed 3lb 11oz and Noah weighed 3lb 9oz . They were taken directly to the Neonatal Unit in Southend Hospital (Special Care Baby Unit) and spent their first week in intensive care. During the 9 weeks Noah gained weight and was able to come home after 7 weeks. Ida unfortunately had a few set backs during her time in the unit and ended up back in intensive care three times. She required two blood transfusions and alot of care in this time. After 9 weeks she was well enough to come home.
5 months on they are now two healthy happy babies. Without the care and attention from all the staff in the Neonatal Unit, we would not have Ida and Noah here with us today and for that we are eternally grateful.There are no words that come close to explain how grateful we really are to all the staff but hopefully this will help.
We never realised just how many babies require support in their early days just to survive and without this unit and the staff this would not be possible. So please dig deep and donate.
