My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
With the support and encouragement of family and friends I have decided to enter the London Marathon. With 2012 being the Olympic year, it felt like the right time to undertake my first Marathon. I have completed over 14 half marathons and now feel ready for the 'big one'.I Now have less that 6 weeks to Marathon day and am beginning to feel a little bit nervous. To date training has gone well and have a 20 mile run on Sunday - what a lovely way to spend Mother's day!!.
I am under no illusions, this IS going to be difficult. However, the slogan on my CAFOD T shirt reminds and inspires me of why I am doing this 'Racing against Poverty'. CAFOD is my chosen charity because it strives to bring hope and compassion to some of the poorest communities in the world.
So please dig deep and donate now. Remember every pound you donate really does make a difference and especially during this season of lent as under the UK Aid Match iniative the UK government will match pound for pound all monies raised!!
