Update: I'm in Santiago. However, I had a cigarette on Sunday 11 July so I'm still not finished - need to keep a clean sheet until 8 August on that one. The beard is looking pretty bloody stupid too...

Hopefully you are here to support PRIME. PRIME (The Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise) helps people over the age of fifty set up in business for themselves. PRIME was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in response to letters he was receiving from people desperate to work but unable to find anyone to employ them - because of their age.

To raise money to support PRIME, I am:

1) Cycling 2,000km from Belgium to Santiago de Compostela in Spain;

2) Quitting smoking - for a month for sponsorship purposes but hopefully far longer than that; and

3) Growing a beard.

Hopefully, one or all of these things will appeal sufficiently to win your hard earned cash from you. To find out more about what PRIME do, go to http://www.primeinitiative.co.uk/.

You can follow my progress at any point over the next few months by going to: http://santiagoorbust.blogspot.com/.
