My story

During his recent trip to Burma (Myanmar), Arpat was struck by the kind nature of the Burmese people and the beauty of this country. But he also witnessed first hand the extreme poverty and the urgent need for educating the young population.

You must have heard that Burma is currently going through a historical phase, and this might well be the start of a new era for the long-repressed country. Unfortunately an enormous amount still remains to be done, and education of young people is one of the most important needs for the future of this country.

We therefore invite our friends and families to celebrate our wedding generously and contribute together to the education of young people in this budding democracy by donating to Prospect Burma using the above link. Many thanks - and please forward this to anyone who you think might want to help too!

Charity Registration No. 802615

Prospect Burma invests in the democratic future of Burma by funding education for Burmese students who commit to return to Burma with their new found skills when possible. Aung San Suu Kyi supports us with her Nobel Prize funds, but each year we turn hundreds of students away due to a lack of funds.
