Hello and thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. For the second year running, I'm taking part in a 24 hour meditation marathon to raise money for a charity called EnlightenNext - a cause very close to my heart.
Like many people I sympathise with the principles of the 'Occupy' movement. I feel disillusioned with our overly-materialistic society and want to make the world a better place. But there seems to be a lot of confusion about how to make that happen. I believe that to create real and lasting change we have to start from the inside out and that meditation - or 'Occupying Zero' - has a crucial part to play in that. It is only through the unlimited perspective we find in meditation that we can discover solutions which are both bold and creative enough to deal with the enormity of the problems we face today!
Here is a quote from Jeremy Corbyn, the MP for North Islington, about the work of EnlightenNext:
"I admire what you are doing in a world facing so many challenges: bringing together thinkers, activists, and artists in this fantastic building to create new perspectives that bring new solutions and make us better, more tolerant people.
