Anyone who knows me at all knows that I love coffee. Or rather I need coffee. I have physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms without my regular coffee fixes and if I get to 8.00 a.m. without having had my first coffee of the day then I'm doing well!
If you know me then you will also know that I feel passionately about disadvantaged children, particularly orphans and street children.
So this is the plan. I am going to give up coffee for a month (and black tea). To make this agony endurable, please will you help me to support the charity Toybox.
Toybox is a Christian charity committed to helping street living and street working children and those at risk of becoming so, principally in Latin America.
Their mission is to bring lasting and positive change to the lives of street children, street working children and those at risk of becoming so, through front line work, prevention and advocacy, being a facilitator and enabler, galvanising people and resources in the UK, Latin America and worldwide.
Oh, and it's probably best to keep your distance for the month between November 15th - December 15th. Unless it's to offer me a very strong herbal tea.
