My story
WE ONLY BLOOMING DID IT!!!
WE #SMASHEDTHATMOUNTAIN
It was the toughest, both physically and emotionally, but we did it!
OK guys & girls, this is it! Today (28th) we begin our adventure! We will see you on the other side!!
We are off to #smashthatmountain! EEEEkkkkk!!!
DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES OUR TREK DATE HAS BEEN MOVED TO 28th September.
On the up side this gives us an extra SIX weeks fundraising time!! Yay! Thanks again for your continued support - we are going to #SMASHTHATMOUNTAIN!!

Looking forward to our next fundraising event. A Michael Buble tribute evening!
Well we're going great guns with the fundraising but we still have a 'mountain to climb' (excuse the dreadful pun!) - thank you to those of you who are supporting us. We're cracking on with our training, however Vicky & I are both currently dealing with the side effects of our Yellow Fever vaccinations but we're ready to step up a gear with our training schedule as soon as we feel back on top form. #smashthatmountain!!!
Sunday 19th Feb
Myself & Vicky were priveliged to be invited to attend the 'Believe in Magic' Party at Hamleys and to meet some of the children and their families that are helped by the charity.
I'm not going to lie, we were both very nervous about it, and to start with found it difficult to contain our emotions but watching the children arrive, dressed up as Pirates & Princess's, seeing the looks on their faces, we soon realised it wasn't the time for us to be sad.
We had the opportunity to talk to some of the families. These children are suffering the most dreadful illnesses, with such amazing courage and bravery and in many cases, very little hope of a happy ending. Their families are truly amazing. They are strong....so strong.
They are all incredible and I know that the thought of these brave children & their families is what will help us on our trek up Mount Kilimanjaro.
PLEASE HELP US BY SPONSORING OUR CLIMB;

Another 17km walked last night :-)
We are undertaking an incredible 10 day challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. We are trekking the Machame route, which is one of the toughest & most demanding treks there is! Those of you who know us personally will know how excited & passionate we are about this challenge. We have been given a fabulous opportunity to challenge ourselves, & believe me a challenge it will most definitely be!! We have been inspired by the founder of the charity, Meg, a very brave 16 year old who is herself, extremely poorly. This however doesn't stop her from working tirelessly to help other sick & terminally ill children to realise their dreams. By sponsoring us for our climb, you will be helping Meg to help the children who are referred to her, have an experience they've dreamed about & give them something to look forward to! Believe in Magic would like to buy a holiday home where their children, along with their families, can have a break from their everyday lives & enjoy a change of scene. Small things like this we often take for granted ..... these children take nothing for granted.
Please help us to help them. We would love to raise as much money as we possibly can....Please dig very very deep, inside your hearts & your wallets! By raising money we can't expect to change their lives...... but we can have a bloody good try at making what lives they have a little sunnier.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
