Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I chose to run this marathon as a personal challenge, it's a massive goal for me to work towards and it's something that I thought I would never be able to physically do as I was extremely overweight for the first 30 years of my life, I knew I needed to make a change and with the help and support of others I brought my weight down to a point where I was able to start exercising about 10 years ago.  Throughout the last 10 years I have pushed myself physically to attain a level of fitness which enabled me to change my career (I am now a Firefighter for West Mids) run 4 half marathons, complete Insanity Programmes and much more but now before I turn 40 I'd like to say that I have conquered this monumental challenge too!! 

I chose to run for a charity as I want to make this also mean something for others too and I know that the Make-A-Wish Foundation will enable many young poorly children to benefit so please dig deep and sponsor me for as much or as little as you can as every penny helps make a difference to someone out there!
