Dear Friends,

I did it! I completed this year's London Marathon in 6 hours and was overwhelmed by the whole experience and hugely humbled. I have hardly taken my medal off since!

Despite going into it with an injury to my Achilles tendon which unfortunately flared up after 13 miles, I limped around the last 13 miles with sheer willpower, Nurofen and the crowd, who were totally behind me.
 

The whole occasion was so emotional and I am pleased I did it, so thank you, thank you for supporting me. I am very grateful and what I have raised is going to help so many people. From the bottom of my heart it means a great deal.
