The time has come again for the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Bike Ride (10th Sept).

Last year, riding as Curate of the Coln River Group of Parishes, we managed to retain the trophy for the highest total raised.

In March, I became Rector of the Leadon Vale Parishes on the Gloucester/Hereford border - 9 beautiful rural parish churches.

Half the money raised this year will go to St Mary's Church, Dymock and other churches in the Leadon Vale Parishes.

Sadly, this year there has been rather less pre-event training which can only mean that the challenge to man and machine will be greater than ever.  Your generosity would help to make the pain more bearable (does that sound suitably pathetic?).

Several of our churches are, or have recently undergone work which has been assisted by grants from the GHCT, for which we are most grateful.  Your donation will help to ensure that the Trust is able to continue giving suchg aid to the maintainance of our historic churches which are such an important part of our national rural heritage.
