As most of you are aware, Aoibheann and Sarah-Louise are about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime! In May 2011, we will be participating in the African Tribal Trek and raising funds for Northern Ireland's local cancer charity. In order to prepare for this expedition, we will be putting in 12 months of physical training to prepare ourselves for the 8+ hours a day challenge.

As part of this training, we, along with 5 other fantastic supporters will be taking part in this year's City of Derry Half-Marathon (13 miles!!). Our overall target is to raise a massive £7,000 (that's £3,500 each) but we are aiming to raise approx. £1,000 by doing the half-marathon. Anything extra would be a real bonus!

 

We really appreciate your support and we are extremely grateful to  Christopher Shortt, Colm Keenan, Pádraic Wilson, Jackie McMullan, and Séan Gregory  for their participation in the half-marathon. Please dig deep and donate online today!

 

Action Cancer is a leading Northern Ireland charity providing lifesaving cancer prevention services, therapeutic support services and early detection services in Northern Ireland. Their aim is to save lives and support people.
Action Cancer relies entirely on voluntary contributions to maintain and deliver its services. The charity must raise over £3.6 million each year to maintain life-saving services. All of the fund raised by the charity are spent in Northern Ireland.
