I'll be taking part in the Mornington Chasers Winter 10K run, and thought I'd try and raise money for a worthy cause. My chosen charity is 'The Citizen's Foundation'(TCF), an independent non-profit organization which targets illiteracy in Pakistan by building schools in the poorest of urban slums and rural villages, home to children with no means or access to quality education. Since its inception in 1995, TCF has established 600 purpose built schools with 80,000 students currently enrolled. Scholarships are provided to all students in need, with many paying as little as Rs. 10 (7 pence) for a month's worth of schooling.
The money will be collected via 'Friends of the Citizen's Foundation', a UK registered charity which helps raise awareness and funding for TCF. Thank you for taking time to read this link and thank you even more if you can manage to donate something!
