After race Update!!! :D
Hey everyone!!
Well yesterday was the run and it all went really well. I want to take this chance to say thank you sooo much to all of you who have donated and i appreciate it all the more due to our nations current economic and financial climate. I want you all to know how much you have helped the charity with your donations you are all incredibly generous people.
On that note how ever i will still be collecting donations for a while to raise as much as i can before all the members of the team put everything together so put the word about.
Any about the run, What a wicked day! the atmosphere for the whole thing was amazing every1 is there for the fun as appose to the competition with families who live along the route coming out of their house to hand out ice pops, oranges and drinks. Its great to know things like this still happen. I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about doing a charity run but i would say if you want to try and smash out a good time then get in early so you can have a number near the front because you can't get into a pace whilst running through people.
Cheers again guys!!
Update!!
Hi all,
The run is getting closer and training's going well. I wanted to thank everyone who has donated so far ur a great help. I'm all over the place atm due to work so its hard for me to spread the word so i also wanted to say thanks to all who have helped me getting word out about the run.
Every one is working/training hard over the last few weeks so that we can make it to the end of the course. Really looking forward to it now as well.
But we are not there yet on the money raised front so please keep spreading the word and keep fingers crossed that we can raise some good money for the charity.
Cheers everyone

Hi!
Thanks for taking the time to take a look.
I'll start by telling you a bit about the run. The Bupa Great North Run is the world’s biggest half marathon with 52,000 runners on the course each year! This years 13.1 Mile run through will take place on Sunday 20th September.
Our team of 10 men and 2 Women, Most of whom are members of the military, (we will be sporting some form of insignia) have been training hard for the event. The money we raise will go to a charity called the Children’s Heart Federation. This charity relies very heavily on money raised during charity events and uses the donations collected to provide help to children suffering from a number of heart conditions as well as providing support to these children’s families.
There are so many charities out there who require funding and many that deserve it. That said it’s hard to single one out and ask for donations during a time of such economic crisis and high unemployment. However aside from the fact that we would be running 13 MILES!!! you would be contributing not just to a charity but in the long run to a family. Giving them an opportunity to exist and grow. O and did i mention we will be RUNNING 13 MILES!!!!! that definitely worth some donations lol :D
