Story
14th April 2014
I did it !! 5 hours 45 minutes. It was a beautiful London Spring day - a bit too hot for the runners - but you couldn't have asked for a better one. The crowds are amazing and I received massive support the whole way round. Thanks to Marylyn , Brian and Tracey for pushing me on at Shadwell !!! I think you weren't sure if I would finish but I did. Thanks to everyone's support - I could not have done it without all of you and Coram are thrilled at the sponsorship Team Aberdeen have managed to raise. I will definitely not be doing it next year ( remind me of this if I waiver ) but this experience has renewed my joy of running ! . ---------------------------
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. - less than a week to go- thanks to everyone for their amazing generosity.
I am thrilled to have been given a chance to run in the London Marathon by Coram. This has been a long held dream of mine and as time marches on I thought best to do it before too long !
I got to know Coram through our company's charity committee and have been inspired by the work they do and fascinated by the rich history of this the first ever children's charity. If you have the time please do look up the link on this site to Coram's web page to find out more. Latest news - the story of the Foundings Hospital will be shown on ITV on the 19th April 2014.
