Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
On the 1st March 2008, my wife and I experienced the heartache that 17 new parents throughout the UK experience everyday. My son Joshua Alexander Cagienard Logan was born sleeping at 40 weeks. Our lives changed forever that day and without the support of SANDs, and the friends we made through their support network, we would never have fought through those dark days.
SANDs offers a lifeline to so many parents who suffer the utter tragedy of losing their child.
No reason was found for the loss of our son and this is typical for over 50% of stillbirths. The money SANDs raises goes towards research into the causes of stillbirth and neonatal death as well as their fantastic support network.
Because of the ongoing and wonderful support that SANDs has given me, I want to give so much back. This is why I am running the Blackpool half Marathon in memory of my darling little boy and in support of all those mummies and daddies who live with this heartache every day.
I hope you can dig deep and help support such a worthwhile cause.
A huge thank you.
Austen Logan, a very proud father.
