The Challenge:
To Walk from Royal Air Force Boulmer (Northumberland) to Royal Air Force Scampton (Lincolnshire).
6 Days of continous hiking to complete the approx 190 miles end to end,  Roughly 35miles per day!

The Challenger:
Flying Officer Michael Lovell from RAF Boulmer. During a weeks leave for some bizarre reason.

Support:
Enough so the health and safety issues can be covered.

Charity:
The Royal Air Forces Association.  There is no target, but as many donations as possible would be very much appreciated.

The RAF Association  is a membership organisation of serving and former members of the Royal Air Force, their families and dependants and all those supporting the aims of the Association. It is the largest single-service membership organisation in the United Kingdom and has roughly 74,000 members and 500 Branches in the UK, Europe and further afield.

They provide friendship and welfare support to serving and ex-serving members of the RAF and their families. Each year they help tens of thousands of people by offering a wide range of welfare services that include home and hospital visits from a volunteer field force; long-term residential care; short-term convalescent and respite breaks; sheltered housing’ resettlement advice and advice on war pensions.

There is a widely held perception that they only help airmen and airwomen who fought in World War II. Nothing could be further from the truth! As well as supporting the whole RAF Family they are increasingly supporting those people who are serving and have served in more recent conflicts in Korea, Borneo, the Falklands, the Gulf War, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo and the latest conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.
