This month we are donating to the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation, as suggested by Andrew Harvey in the London office.

Nearly 12 months ago in the Autumn of 2008 Badenoch & Clark's Communications recruitment team placed a candidate called Brendan Quigley into a 12 month contract with HSBC. Brendan has now become a permanent member of HSBC's staff but still remains in regular contact with B&C's Comms team, as it continues to recruit people into his function within the bank.

In July 2009 Brendan entered a 'hard core' Quadrathlan called the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon (1.5 mile swim, 15 mile run, 7 mile kayak and 34 mile cycle) to raise money for a special charity which means a great deal to him and his family and friends. Brendan was raising money for his little godson that has a rare genetic disorder. Although his godson is unable to live a straight forward life like many other children, he is helped by the support of some excellent charities. One such charity that helps Brendan's godson to deal with his condition is www.cdLs.org.uk
In recognition of the support that CDLS provides his godson Brendan set out to raise money for them and to help secure sponsorship and associated donations.  When discussing his challenge with Andrew Harvey, a consultant on B&C's Comms team, Andrew suggested that B&C could help out too and raise some money for CDLS via our Champagne Friday Dress Down.

Therefore on Friday this week, all money raised via Dress Down will be donated directly to CDLS.
If you would like to find out more information about CDLS and the great work they do, please visit www.cdls.org.uk
Brendan would like to thank us all for our donations as they will make a difference to the lives of so many young children and he knows how valuable this support is.
