STOP PRESS - at approx 6pm on Saturday the 19th June 2010 - David, Stephen, Stuart and Blair successfully reached John O'Groats -  having cycled a butt numbing 609 miles in 8 days from Berwick upon Tweed in aid of Yorkhill Childrens Foundation. Fantastic achievement guys, well done. Thanks to all those that have sponsored, pledged and gave money en route. Check out the video attached or visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxI7FJc0B-I
Captain Bob

following a tough Ayr to Portpatrick and back cycle 22-23/5 where the temp was 70+ all weekend - Bob has injured his knee. The Plan B is for Bob still to be involved - by being the support driver for the remaining 4 riders. Bob is extremely disappointed, but health comes first and he does not want to risk any long term damage and as a result is receiving treatment to the knee. He encourages all friends, family and colleagues to continue to support the ride.

Following a successful 460 mile slog from Carlisle to Inverness on Route 7 in 2008 - David, Blair and Bob are joined this time by David's nephew Stuart and Blair's pal Stephen. We are cycling approx 600 miles from Berwick upon Tweed up Route1 to John'O'Groats in June 2010. We are doing the ride in 8 days - averaging about 75 miles a day. Based on the average mph last time - that equates to about 8 hrs cycling each day - excluding breaks and of course punctures. (Bob from memory had 6 - all on the same tyre).

We have chosen Yorkhill Childrens Foundation - not only because it's a great charity, but a charity that is dear, quite literally, to the heart of one our team, Stephen's daughter Abigail. Born in Dec 2004 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Abigail had a heart transplant in Dec 2007 at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle and is now an out patient attending the cardiology clinic at the Sick Kids, Yorkhill and the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.

So please dig deep - we will be updating Twitter with progress
