Hi people.

I'm running in the Bupa Great Birimingham 2011 half marathon and am after your money in return for my hard work! I'm collecting money for Birmingham Children's Hopspital, for the Eye Department.

The Eye department have helped, not just my son Christopher but my whole family. Their support and understanding have been of such a level over the last years that I don't know how we would have got through without them. The Eye department and Children's Hopsital in general have, and continue to help many of Christophers friends from school and elsewhere.

The Birmingham Half Marathon 2010 was my first ever half marathon last year, and this years Great Birmingham Run will be third half marathon this year running dressed as Baloo (from the Jungle Book). It will be my third half marathon in seven week and the first time I have re-visited an event of this distance a year on. I will be starting at the back with a friend who is doing her third half marathon in six weeks and am not going looking for a personal best time, but if the mood takes me on the day......
