 In my attempt to get fit and lose weight I have taken up swimming.   On reading about my fellow believers in other countries who suffer greatly because of their faith in Jesus Christ, I felt I could do something to help them as well as help myself to keep fit.   I have therefore decided to try and swim the equivalent of 1 mile in the local swimming pool in order to raise funds for Open Doors which is a christian charity who support persecuted believers in countries world-wide   They need  support in  prayer and also in giving to meet their needs.   For more information on this charity please see the open doors website    I am intending to swim-a-mile on 25th May 2010 (God Willing) and you support would be greatly appreciated.
