In memory of Barbara Finch

We are a local urological cancer charity set up to raise awareness & support patients & families at our Care Centre in Ward 209, ARI. We are fundraising to raise £2.5M to open a SURE Unit at ARI (formerly RDC). Urological cancers are some of the most curable cancers if detected early enough.

Story

Barbara finally, sadly lost her battle with the wretched cancer that she had been bravely fighting against for over 2 years. She died peacefully on the morning of Friday 26th February in a local hospice, Michael Sobell House.

Barbara requested that instead of flowers she would prefer if well wishers could kindly make a donation to a charity that was funding research targeted on the type of cancer which she suffered from. The four main urological cancers are kidney, prostate, bladder and testicular cancers. They mainly affect men, although women can suffer from kidney and bladder cancers. Urological cancers are more common than many people realise, and account for 1 in 3 of all cancers in men and 1 in 5 of all cancers in men and women. Our chosen charity UCAN is dedicated to raising awareness of urological cancers, and improving treatment, support and quality of life for people and families who are affected.

On behalf of Barbara, and all our family, thank you for your generosity.
