Story
absolutely overwhelmed by the kind donations from everyone. it's all been extremely emotional and i can't thank you all enough :) thank you from the bottom of my heart xxx
Thank you for donating to such a worthwhile cause. It means so much to me, my family and to Epilepsy Action. Living with Epilepsy is hard especially when diagnosed fairly recently. Epilepsy Action are there for advice and guidance and do a lot in terms of research. I found out I had epilepsy in 2009 when I was 23 and it has changed my life and my families life forever. Not being able to drive, wondering when the next seizure will happen is a constant worry. I'm afraid of going to sleep in case it happens but because of excellent research from the likes of Epilepsy Action I am on amazing medication that is helping me through this.
In February 2013 I had a seizure and when I came round I was unable to feel my legs from the tips of my toes to my hips. I have never been so scared in all my life. The doctors didn't now if I would ever walk again. Just the week before this I had secured my place for the Bupa Great North Run and I felt devastated. My husband, Karl and son Harry were my determination to get through this. I stayed in hospital for 2 weeks and left not being able to walk. I had intense, painful pyshio and within 3 months I was walking. People thought I was crazy to try and train still for the Great North Run but no I want to help other people who suffer and so after not being able to walk, I am currently training for the Great North Run so please donate to this brilliant charity.
Every little amount helps and I am so grateful :) Thank you.
PS. Thank you to my amazing husband, Karl, adorable son Harry and family for being so supportive 100% of the way :) xx
