Hello everyone
Last month we couldn't run round the block but this Sunday we'll be running 10K for the Bhopal Medical Appeal (BMA) - yes - us two running 10K!
The BMA funds the award-winning free Sambhavna Clinic, located in the heart of the gas-affected communities in Bhopal, India.
You may remember 'that night' when the biggest industrial disaster in history took 8000 lives on the 2nd/3rd December 1984; 23,000 people have died to date, and 120,000 people are still in need of medical care. The disaster continues with the 2nd and 3rd generation and the secondary disaster of water contamination.
The Sambhavna Clinic literally came out of nothing and exists due to the generosity of UK donors over the years... it treats survivors with a combination of the best of eastern and western medicine. To date Sambhavna has given free treatment to over 30,000 people; it needs to reach more.
Even if you can only manage a couple of quid, it really does make a difference to those struggling for health and a life of dignity in Bhopal.
Cheers
Jess and Becks
