So who are the Beer and Bike Night boys???????
A couple of years ago a gentleman called Stephen Crane, down in South Somerset, saw an article on the local news about Jole Rider. He had a couple of bikes. He mentioned it to me, his friend Anthony Raybould. I got a few from around my workplace. We did them up and David & Helen came along with the trusty Transit and trailer and took them off to Hullavington and off they went to Africa.
That was easy. Hmmm..... What could we do if we tried a bit harder I wondered????
Tuesday nights, my garage, friends, bikes, fine conversation, a gas heater on the cold nights. And Ale. A guest ale every week. Is EastEnders really that good instead? Beer and Bike night was born.
That winter 100 bikes were overhauled and delivered to Hullavington, and we've just done another 50 this last year.
Now it's time to do our bit in helping ship all these bikes out to Gambia by riding the Night Baton Relay.
Please dig deep - a bike and an education will mean the world to the kids in Africa.
Thanks
- Anthony

Update 20/8/09:
Due to the cancellation of the Night Baton Relay event, the Beer and Bike Night Boys have decided to do their own Sponsored Ride. Date is Sunday 27th September, starting at 10am in Bridgewater, riding to Taunton and back along the Great Western Canal. It's a 30 mile round trip, about the same distance we would have ridden in the Night Baton Relay. More details coming on the Jole Rider website.
