Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

OK so, after a very early start (for a Sunday!) We did it!! Thankfully the weather came through and after a week of grey skies and rain, we had a beautiful sunny day - lots of blue sky and fresh air. The walk was absolutely gorgeous and despite being over-taken by other walkers old enough to be our parents or even grand-parenats (one man even told us about his leg injury as he whizzed past us!) we made good time. Having left the start point at 10:15am we arrived at beeding just before 12pm in time for a quick pint before we headed back to Shoreham airport on the other side of the Adur. A really lovely day with a lovely friend and all for a good cause. Thanks so much for all the support so far but don't worry this page will stay open til December so you still have a chance to donate... Xx

You can read our stories about why we chose to support the MS Treatmant centre below:

"Supporting MS Charities is something close to my heart - My Mum was diagnosed with the condition about 14 years ago. Never one to complain, she simply gets on with life and deals with the pain and difficulties associated with living with MS. Although it is a progressive form of the condition she suffers from, she has always made sure to put on a brave face and continues to manage being "The Best Mum in The World!". If she can cope with living with the disease, I can certainly manage with a nine mile walk! I'm doing this in support of my wonderful Mum and my Dad who has given her endless love, encouragement and support.

It is absolutely vital that we do all we can to help the Sussex MS Treatment Centre to do all it can to continue providing MS sufferers and their families all the support and therapies they offer." - Ben

"I am doing this walk in support of my Mum who died 13 years ago this month. She was diagnosed with MS and then declined rapidly over the next three or four years, to the point where she ended up in a hospice. When she was ill, we got a lot of help from the great MS Centre in Reading and the amazing carer that worked with them, Sally. Sally, Val, and other carers were so important with helping us all to carry on with our lives and ensuring my Grandma didn’t have to cope on her own.

The MS Centre had an oxygen tank that my Mum used to go in, which helped relieve her symptoms, and it’s things like this that the money we raise will be used for. Please donate anything you can afford to help people and their families currently coping with MS.” - Danni
