BEN NEVIS CHALLENGE 2010
in aid of
Help For Heroes and The Royal British Legion

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On 7 June 2010, we successfully reached the sumit of Ben Nevis after 7 hours of climbing - me on crutches. Why?
The 4,409 foot high mountain is a challenge for a lot of people but will be many times more so for me as I have a walking disability, the result of my own service in the Royal Air Force some 20 years ago. Without walking aids, such as leg braces, walking stick or crutches, I can walk only very short distances. And as they won't let me drive my Land Rover up the mountain (only Mr Clarkson gets to do that), I had to use crutches for the challenge. The climb was completed in 13 hours including the descent so we didn't break the record of an hour and a half
Why did I do it? Because these two great charities look after our servicemen of all ages and deserve our support, so please donate generously.
