So here it is guys,
Not really sure how it happened but somehow I've signed up for the Italian leg of The Better Life Cycle. This is basically my friend Dan Harrison's unsupported cycle from London to Cape Town to raise money for some of the worlds poorest children.
In August I will be cycling through the Dolomites from Cortina D'Ampezzo to Trieste. This invovles crossing a few moutain passes and staying in a tent along the way-need I say more?!?! Those of you who know me best can imagine which part of this little scenario scares me the most.
I would be so grateful to you all for any sponsorship you could give me. I know times are tough but even a fiver will help to give an African child a better life.
All the costs of the ride and charity are covered, so 100% of the sponsorship - every penny - will have a real impact on the lives of some of the world's most under-privileged kids.
During the ride each orphanage will receive an 'Educaid Box' of practical educational materials. A lasting relationship will also be founded, to provide funding and support for longer-term projects.
