For our Christmas party this year, generously sponsored by SJ Berwin, we are all donating £25.00 to Women's Aid, the national charity which supports women and their families through domestic violence and its aftermath. More than 100 women a year are killed by their partners or former partners. More than 500 women a year commit suicide within six months of reporting domestic violence. The social impact of domestic violence is huge. Women's Aid have a 24 hour helpline and provide advice on dealing with and recovering from violence. Biotech Babes is a group of senior women executives in the life sciences sector who meet to raise money for charities and to support Dress for Success.
