Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
BirthLink works in countries where the care of small and sick newborns is severely compromised because of poor basic facilities and lack of education. Nurses and Doctors from the NHS work voluntarily in their holidays to support our projects in a number of countries.
We are currently working in Rwanda, The Congo, Burma, Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.
Many of these preterm babies die, not from lack of equipment and care, but poor nutrition and infection control. These babies need their mothers milk, but no one has the experience to support breast feeding when things go wrong.
Please help us through your support and donations to train lactation consultants to support mothers and increase milk supply.
