Hi everyone,

Being blind ain't easy!  Not that I would know, but I did spend 24 hours blindfolded recently, to raise funds and make noise about childhood blindness.  The experience was difficult but rewarding, and I was very pleased to whip the blindfold off at 8pm on Monday 19th May.  

But 'whipping off their blindness' is not a luxury that the world's 1.4million blind chilldren have.  Yet 50% of this blindness is needless, and easily avoidable through some of the most cost effective interventions in all of medicine today.

So shake out your wallets!  And spread the word on childhood blindness....
