Bob unexpectedly left us earlier this year, and in tribute to him we (his family and friends) want to raise as much money as possible for his favourite charity - the RNLI. In his memory Paula (his wife) has set up an RNLI "Forever By The Sea" Fund in his name, and the money we raise will go towards the Mumbles Lifeboat Appeal, which aims to provide a new lifeboat for Mumbles.
So what are we doing? Well we needed to top our 2009 Adventure ("The 3 Welsh Peaks Challenge"), so to go one better we are doing the "Taff Trail". (Yes I know there is a bit of a Welsh theme running through these!). Put simply this means walking from Brecon to Cardiff Bay in 2 days (walking the equivalent of a marathon each day!). The event will take place on the 8th & 9th July 2010. We are all in training (well some of us are) for this challenge and have a reliable support team all set up to care for the injured and infirm! Pictures will be taken to document our journey and will be posted to the page at a later date.
