In 2010 The Bon-Accord Silver Band will represent Scotland at the European Brass Band Championships in Linz, Austria. It is the first time in our 47 year history that we have been invited to the contest. The band will be up against some world-class opposition including the mighty Black Dyke Band. The total cost of the trip is currently being divided between those who play in the band but we hope to reduce the amount as much as possible through various fundraising efforts. The amount shown on this page includes all money received through donations AND band member contributions!

A rough calculation based on the amount raised so far and the distance from Aberdeen to London to Linz and back again (around 2,184 miles) shows that we are now in the North of France. Hopefully BA haven't lost half the instruments in T5 at Heathrow!
