Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Back in the Spring, in a moment of mid-life-crisis-weakness we all decided to undertake (Cowley's idea) this crunchy event in the Peak District on Sept 26th '09. We will be running The Nine Edges Endurance which is a 20 mile race, (www.nineedges.co.uk) over rough moorland and gritstone edges, none of us have ever done anything like this before and the training has taken several months.
We have chosen Help 4 Heroes as our charity as we all believe firmly in the need to provide as much help as possible for delivery of the ARMY RECOVERY CENTRES for troops injured in the service of the country. We understand that people are bombarded all the time for more and more donations but this is a superb cause and every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.
It has given us all a challenging target to work for over the summer. Along with the goal has come the monotony of training and the guilt factor to be coped with when accepting that additional doughnut or finding a spurious excuse not to head out training. We are 3 weeks away and the running has got particularly tedious; this week and next we will cover at least 75 miles.
