My story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page for such a great cause. Margie and I are committed to raising money for MND, Alzheimer and Parkinson’s Disease. If you would like to help our Bounty Boat Expedition, or think our efforts are worthwhile, please give generously and tell all your friends.

Donations are in UK Pounds. 50 pounds is approximately $100 Australian Dollars. In Australia 1300 people are living with MND at any one time. You can find out more about the Sheffield Institute Foundation, and everything about our adventure (including our progress) at our web site - www.bountyboat.com

The success of our voyage, we hope, will be measured by more than just getting to Kupang at the end of a harrowing 48 days…it will be seen here, as a growing list of donations from all who believe in the value of a healthy live.

Thanks so much for your support…..Don & Margie McIntyre

Institutes are a key weapon in the fight to discover the cure of such a complex condition. Institutes attract the best researchers, as it is a privilege to work in a centre of excellence. One other advantage is that Trusts and Foundation will fund more readily research done in an Institute. It is thanks to the Pasteur Institute that the cure for tuberculosis was found.
