Thank you for visting my Just Giving Web page, I am going to attempt to climb Kilimanjaro in July, what a statment !!!, it seemed a good idea over a year ago. A great opportunity to cobmine an adventure with my support for the charity "The Smiles Foundation". As many of you know I have been involved with them for many years and for the last four years I have been a UK Trustee.
I am part of a team leaving on the 10th July 2011 from N.Ireland with all funds raise going fully to the Charity, we are currently training and preparing for departure day and I would appriciate your prayers and support.
The Smiles Foundation works with the poor and disavantaged in Romania, and we are raising funds to support the latest major new project, the development of a centre for the disabled and elderly which we are calling the Joint Facility of Love. Like many of the children and orphans in Romania, the elderly and disabled have been neglected, abandoned and abused. The new centre aims to provide them with loving care and attention and to give them the dignity which we are all entitled to.
