This is my 10th Great North Run for Velindre Cancer Hospital I Was motivated after a good friend and work coleague Paul Powell died with Cancer. The care they gave him and many thousands like him was immense and i have no conscience in asking you to dig deep for this very worthy cause. Cancer seems to touch most families whether it be family or friends and its good to know that support is out their. I appreciate that you may give to charity in other ways with that in mind i apologise for the intrusion and thanks for taking the time to read this. I would finally add all proceeds go to Velindre, travel and accommadfation is met by us. I was unable to take part in the great North Run through illness but i have found the Teign Valley Half Marathon on October 3rd. Which i have now completed, a lot harder than Newcastle with only 64 competitors who must have all been trying to book a place in the olympics.

Stuart Completed the Great North in a time of 2hrs 8 min which was a considerable effort in only his second attempt  Brian
