Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Here i am nearing the ripe old age of 60 and i have actually entered the Bupa 10k run around Edinburgh in May (mad or what), i needed a challenge to get myself fit or at least to lose a bit of weight.
I watched a programme the other night and it was about a boy called Lyndon Longhorne, he contracted meningitis when he was nine month's old, and consequently had his legs and one arm removed, but as he grew up. (he is now 13 yrs old) he has not let his dissability get in his way, he has battled through adversity to become a national swimming champion winning Gold, 4 Silver, and 2 Bronze in the National Junior Swimming championships.
A truly remarkable young man who made me feel very humble, so it stirred me into action and i want to raise as much as i can for Meningitis Research, and would appreciatte your help in doing this, Donate as much as you can and i promise you i will earn every penny.
Brian.
