We are raising money for The Daniel Courtney Trust, www.makingitbetter.org.uk.  please read on to see why.

This year has been a big year for me achieving a lot of my own goals to make things better for my family and I.  So I now love that I can use this new zest for running to help make things better for other families who are less fortunate in that their children have to deal with a rare genetic disorder.  We are raising money to help provide funding for research in to a condition called Microvillius Atrophy or MVA.

I feel very priviledged to have 2 children who are for the most part healthy, only having to deal with the normal coughs and colds that life throws at us all, Unfortunately a close friend of mine has two children who are affected by this condition and her strength has inspired me to do all that I can to help others in a similar situation.  The reality of having to watch a child battle with a condition that you know very little about is not only frustrating but heartbreaking, so I am hoping to do all that we can to raise money.

Supporting me and Deborah in doing the Henley Half Marathon is something that you can do to help us provide funding for research that may help those children effected have a better chance to battle this condition.
